Today is the era of science which is growing fast. Its effect can be seen on development of our Industries. The machines are controlled by electronic method. But all these growth was achieved with help of mechanical machines. For making any type of machine whether it is a computer, Television, Rocket its structure or body, which is the most essential of that unit are made first and then all components are assembled in that body. To manufacture all these components machine such as Lathe, Milling, Shaping, Grinding, Drilling, Welding are required. These machines are operated by skilled operator and parts are made with accuracy. Out of all these operations, same parts require some rectification which is completed by a Fitter with required accuracy.

The work done by a Fitter is of different Type which has to be completed by using different hand tools to required accuracy. Fitter work is critical and responsible type which has a great relation with the growth of industries of a country. The Fitter does his 75% work by his hand and 25% by using different machines. Sometimes ha has to rectify and assemble very critical parts of a machine which has great importance on machine accuracy and productivity. One Fitter has a deep knowledge of different type of tools and fitting achieved. He has knowledge of different materials, its properties and uses. He must have knowledge of different precision measuring and checking tools. He must know the operating system of machines like Drilling, Turning, milling grinding so that he can do his work proficiently. He must have deep knowledge of understanding drawings, assembly sequence, tightening torque etc.
